New Peditrician

The leave me alone look. Grace is doing this often lately.

We went to the new peditrician today. I really liked him. He was very friendly and concerned about Grace's health. We are going to go ahead and switch the other kids to this practice, too. He obviously has experience with adopted kids, cleft palate and the team we are using for Grace's surgeries. They did a finger blood test today and Grace is anemic. Dr. Artman checked Grace's records from the hospital and let us know this evening that it is better than she was in the hospital. They are expecting it to improve and since she is now playing and not listless, they aren't concerned. She is on iron that is helping her body increase red blood cells.

  1. So glad you have found a doctor you like and that Grace is doing better. I know this has been almost as hard for you as her mom as it has been for her. We are looking forward to seeing you all this coming week and spending family times together. Love you all!

  2. It's such a relief to find a good pediatrician. When Kevin was two I knew his speech was not right, but our family doctor kept saying, "second children are usuallly slower". I took him to a great pediatrician and she immediately sent him for hearing and speech assessments. He was in speech therapy for several years later. So I can relate in a way.

I'm so glad you've got a good doctor who's willing to go the extra mile for kids!

Glad to hear Debi and her family are coming to visit for Thanksgiving! Hope you have a great time!
