Sunday, August 19

Where did I leave off? In the morning we went to the zoo. Everybody else with our agency opted out. It was extremely hot but the kids had a lot of fun. The monkies and the Panda Bear were the highlights. They also had goats, horses, deer, tigers, rhinos, elephants, etc. The tigers were extremely thin. Maybe the don't like the heat.

In the afternoon we completed all our paperwork. It took about 2 hours. We met our friends Pam, Rick , and AJ for one last dinner. Pam and I shopped a little. Street vendors line the roads by her hotel. Pam and Rick were going on a cruise so Dallas decided he wanted to call this couple I had been emailing with that was from North Carolina. We called Sherri and went up to their room for about an hour. They are from Charlotte. They brought their 3 kids with them to adopt Cami. Cami was adorable and is alittle younger than Grace. It is neat sharing experiences with other people and seeing their little ones. Dallas had a good time talking to her husband, Mark, too.

We got back to the room and let the kids put their bathing suits on to go the pool for about an hour. I have never seen such a pool. It isn't very big but it is on the roof. The very edge of the roof. If you are scared of heights you would not be able to swim. It is only 9 floors high but it seems much higher when you are looking over the edge. The boys were laughing because on the railing of the outside of the pool(edge of roof)it says do not cross the railing. Kind of a no brainer. If you cross the railing you are going down. There is no kiddie pool so Dallas took turns taking both girls in. Grace is a little fish. She wanted to go under the water. Dallas got tired of her trying to go under and drinking the water.

I slept until 6:30 today. Just when we are getting ready to leave I get used to the time schedule. Today one of us has to stay in the room in the morning because our guide is taking our paperwork to the U.S. Embassy. She will call if there are any problems with it. The rest of the day is free until 5:45. We are going on the dinner cruise. We have been told not to eat any food on the dinner cruise. The boys want me to take them shopping and I still have a few gifts to buy, too.
