Thursday and Friday

You were going to get a lot of pictures but the internet connection is so slow it doesn't look like that is going to be possible. I will try again later and if it doesn't work I should be able to post them in Guangzhou.

Yesterday afternoon we didn't do much. The boys went to the pool, a notary came to deliver paperwork, and we ate dinner with Pam, Rick, and AJ. I did begin the packing process, too. I haven't decided whether to leave a suitcase here or not. We really don't need it anymore but I like it and would rather take it home. With the bikes we have so much stuff, though.

Zachary ordered a hotdog for dinner last night. It is the biggest hotdog we have ever seen. He said it tasted like a real hotdog but he wasn't fond of the mayo that coated it. Grace had a few bites and seemed to like it too.

Today we don't leave until 3:00. We go to the police station to pick up Grace's passport then we go to the airport. Our flight leaves at 7:20 to Guangzhou. Katherine said she would take us somewhere if we wanted but we decided to just hang around here. It gets tiring climbing in and out of the van in the heat. Plus we can finish packing and maybe the kids can go to the pool one last time. I don't have many pictures there and I would like to take a few more.

We have really enjoyed our time here in Fuzhou. It has been much better than we anticipated. It was like being on vacation. It will be sad as we fly to Guangzhou tonight. We are leaving behind all that Grace has ever known. One day we would like to bring her back to visit her orphanage and foster family but we don't know if we actually will. Her orphanage city is much more remote and would take 6 hours to get to from here. I don't know if I mentioned it before but she traveled by bus to get here.

Goodbye, Fuzhou. We will hold many fond memories of our time here.
